Polly's first birthday

It took a while for Dad to figure out Polly's birthday present (a video camera) and how to get it to work with the computer but he finally did - here's a a movie of her first birthday back in October.

A visit to Grandma

Polly took a moment out of her busy Thanksgiving weekend to see Grandma. She also tried to take off with Grandma's walker, but she got distracted by the books on the bookshelf.

The paparazzi are always following me!

I'm a super star. I have to wear sunglasses all the time to help hide my identity because the paparazzi are always trying to photograph me. Here are two short clips from a recent trip to my living room:

It is definitely fall

when Polly is buried in leaves. We visited the Cider Mill with Gram (meaning Avery, not to be confused with Grams) this weekend and had lots of fun, though it was pretty cold.

New Flip Videos

Here are 2 short videos from our new Flip Video recorder. It is really easy to use. You can all see Polly stand up on her own in the second one. I'll try to capture more interesting footage from now on, I was just so excited about the new toy. Thanks Grams!

She's one and she's got a really big head.

Polly weighs 20 lbs, 1 oz, which puts her in the 32%

Polly is 28.5 inches tall, which puts her in the 33%

And Polly's huge noggin puts her in the 95%

St Louis Again

August in St. Louis. Hot doesn't even begin to describe it. Thankfully we had access to Phoebe's pool. St. Loo pictures

Maine in August

Ah, the time has come for another round of baby proofing at a new level. Polly is only interested in standing, so much so that getting into the stroller, the high chair, the car, are simply not on her list of things to do anymore.

New stats!

Just back from the doctor and our little miss Polly isn't so little anymore.

Her head is huge and actually getting BIGGER: 45.5 cm, 87th percentile

She's getting rounder too, in case you couldn't tell by her thighs: 19 lb 8 oz, 63%

Yet, she's still relatively short: 26.8 in, 24%

Polly Sneezes Peas

 

Just in--new photos of one dirty, food covered infant. She's starting to look an awful lot like a messy version of the Gerber baby, don't you think? 16 new pictures await behind this link!

Little Polly finally met the other side of the family. Uncle Bill and Grams and Phoebe and Spencer all got to spend a little time with her. She was so good on the plane, we're going to go back in August (with Auntie Sally this time).

Polly's Latest Stats

Little Polly headed to the doctor again for her six month check up. All is well, a few more shots, and here are the official stats:

Height: 25 inches (that's the 24th percentile, way down from the 40th last time we went, she's due for a growth spurt)

Weight: 16 pounds (that's the 52nd percentile, she was in the 54th before)

Head circumference: 43.5 cm (this is where Polly excels--the 78th percentile! Go big head!)

We're still aiming for 20 pounds by her first birthday, just so we can turn the infant car seat to face forwards. Something to look forward to.
